About Us
Serving the people and animals of our community for over twenty-five years, the Athens Area Humane Society is a no-kill shelter in Athens, Georgia for cats, kittens, and other small domestic animals such as rabbits, rats and guinea pigs.
Each year, the Shelter cares for approximately 1200 abandoned and
stray animals, striving to adopt as many as possible into loving,
lifelong homes. Please look around and get to know your Humane
