Crystal Schultz joined AAHS in the fall of 2006 and has led the organization's transition from small shelter to essential community resource with three locations serving people and animals. Crystal has a BA in Business and a Masters degree in Nonprofit Management.

Rachel is a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator with eight years' experience at the AAHS. Rachel has four cats and two fancy rats, all adopted from the AAHS.

Heather Cosgrave
Position: Lead Adoption Counselor

Bio:
Heather has worked with AAHS since March of 2005 and shares her home with six dogs and two cats. She and her husband Matt are committed to animal rescue and help by fostering dogs for several national organizations.

William Mangham, DVM
Position: Veterinarian, Medical Director at the ARS&NC

Dr. Mangham is the Athens Regional Spay & Neuter Center's Medical Director and expert spay/neuter veterinarian. He has more than five years experience in spay/neuter, and has been with the Center since it opened in November 2007.

Denise Plemmons
Position: Special Projects Manager

Denise was a volunteer for more than a year and a half before joining AAHS as a permanent member of the team in 2007. She has two cats who were adopted from AAHS, one dog who was adopted from Animal Control, and several fish.

Lindsay Porter
Position: Foster Care Coordinator

Lindsay joined AAHS in fall of 2007. Lindsay manages dozens of foster homes, expanding AAHS' capacity for saving lives. Lindsay lives in Winterville with her husband, four cats, and two dogs.
